Our app enhances and complements your utilisation of the VetIT practice management software (PMS) while working remotely from the clinic.
By utilising the daybook feature in the PMS, the VetIT OTR app retrieves and stores your appointments on your mobile device, enabling you to operate even in areas with limited or no internet connectivity.
Starting from this foundation, you have the ability to efficiently manage your day by accessing maps and directions to client locations, while ensuring both the client and your practice stay updated on progress. Initiating a phone call or sending a text to the client is as simple as tapping the screen.
Once you arrive at the client site, you can easily book out items with accurate pricing, document the clinical history (including the option to dictate your notes), capture and upload images, effectively manage your stock levels by dispensing items or scheduling them for later, and schedule follow-up appointments. Whenever you regain a data connection, you can effortlessly synchronise with the main database, retrieving and downloading details for any client and their animals.
Why VetIT?
When you start using OTR, you can customise it to your preferences. As you continue using OTR, you can easily manage your experience by adjusting settings such as:
- Viewing up to 2 weeks of past and future appointments.
- Downloading up to 100 medical records.
- Changing your stock location at any time.
- Configuring your photo settings for size and quality.
- Choosing whether to import all animals for a client on start-up.
At the beginning of each day, you can download all your appointments and access:
- Client balances and breakdowns (e.g., insurance, invoiced, money on account).
- Client or patient alerts.
- Animal’s recent medical history, including attached images, documents, and reports.
- Detailed information about clients and animals.
Throughout the day, you can stay organised and keep track of your progress by:
- Changing appointment status, which syncs with the main system if you have a data connection.
- Finding directions to client and animal locations.
- Calling or texting clients to keep them updated.
- Making follow-on appointments as needed.
If you have a data connection, you can search for other clients or patients from your VetIT database, download their details, and access each animal’s recent clinical history. You can enter new clinical notes, attach photos, search for products, services, and treatment plans, book them with correct pricing, add invoice comments, and apply discounts as needed.

As a veterinary app for iPhone, the On The Road App is compatible with iOS 12.0 and upwards. This will typically require at least an iPhone 6.
VetIT On The Road Veterinary App is compatible with Android v6 (Marshmallow) and higher versions
