James joined our team following two decades with National Veterinary Services. As one of our technology consultants, he’s adept at plate spinning!

The Technology Consultant team are responsible for the relationships with our customers so oversee the different stages of onboarding and the ongoing delivery of services. Quality control and relationship management are high on James’ agenda and delivering on both of these fronts is James’ favourite thing! His other favourites are all on two wheels – motorised or otherwise!

Brian started with NVS in 2008 & came over to VetIT in 2016 starting a close working partnership with VetIT prior to coming into the NVS family. A good day for Brian is when he’s out in practice with customers and working with colleagues to deliver.

As a Technology Consultant, Brian is in touch with our customers from the very first meeting, all the way through implementation, launch and beyond. He works closely with all parts of VetIT to ensure the best solution for our customers. Outside VetIT walls, Brian loves outdoor activities in particular hiking and cycling. Travelling and being a music addict takes up a lot of spare time.

VetIT is Tony’s brainchild and is the product of several web-based software systems which he created in the past. Tony used his significant commercial and software experience to create VetIT. The strength he brings is not only in client relationships but also in his understanding of technology in parallel industries.

He draws that knowledge, learning and best practice together and converts it to improve our products for our clients. Like many of the VetIT team, Tony is an animal lover with several dogs and a few sheep to his name! Given the opportunity, you’ll also find him skiing, water-skiing or golfing.

Our resident equine veterinary nurse joined in 2019 – applying her understanding of busy mixed practices from day one! Chloe genuinely understands the benefits of our system as it is moulded and designed for each individual practice and is passionate about delivering this for all her customers. Change management and customer training form large parts of Chloe’s remit – supporting the transition from other practice management systems to our own.

Chloe makes sure our customers know how to get the most out of their investment and she loves the ‘aha’ moment– when things all click into place. As an animal lover, Chloe’s loves the feeling of adding value to a vet practice and helping them to care for their patients.

When not looking out for practice animals – she’s caring for her own two collies (see Obe featured in her profile pic!), horse riding or catching up with friends and family.

Our resident thespian Julie has been with VetIT for two years now but formally worked at NVS so is well-versed in the full group offering. Like several of her colleagues, Julie loves a good puzzle – finding solutions to client challenges is what Julie enjoys most and that means that no two days are ever the same.

Julie’s main focus is supporting our ecommerce platform – Central. Our customers rely on Julie to ensure it is running smoothly, allowing them to reduce the stock held in practice; increase their footfall and build greater contact with their customers. Outside of work, Julie unwinds with her dogs and horse and has recently landed a role as Alice Beineke in the Addams Family musical later this year!

Russell joined us in 2019 and leads the team in analysing the client requests and finding the solutions to any issues that are raised. Investigation forms a good portion of Russell’s work so as to best design the solution and implement that through the necessary code changes.

Russell’s favourite part of the job is knowing his work has helped practices run smoothly – allowing them to focus on caring for their customers’ pets. Another dog lover, on days off, you’ll find Russell walking in the countryside with Bailey.

Charlotte started in summer 2022. Before VetIT, Charlotte was a veterinary nurse and clinical coach in small animal practices. After 10 years in the profession, she decided it was time to move – keen to stay in the field of veterinary, she built on her existing skills with data analysis and then found us! Charlotte has joined the Support team as our Junior Support and Training Analyst and will work closely with our customers to ensure their queries are answered and that they get the most out of the software. Having a decade’s experience in the field, Charlotte is well placed to help and understands the trials and tribulations of practice life!

Her love of animals is clear as a self-confessed ‘crazy cat lady’, Charlotte loves nothing more than cuddling up with her cats, Bagheera and Logan. She can also be found enjoying walks in the countryside, enjoying live music and even teaching herself how to read music and play the saxophone!

Megan has been part of our busy support team since 2023. Having spent 5 years as a veterinary nurse, she decided to move from the small animal practice, to support our customers across our full remit of services.

The constant changing, always innovating nature of our technology is music to Megan’s ears – she enjoys the problem-solving element of the job – working with the wider VetIT team to find the best solution for each customer. Putting her practice experience into action is one of Megan’s key attributes – ensuring that our solutions and systems remain laser focussed on exceptional animal care.

When she’s not in work, you can find Megan paddleboarding (when it’s sunny) or at gigs (all year round). Her care for animals is clearest at home where her rescue cat Frank, keeps her busy with his antics.

Martin was a founder of VetIT and returned to the team in May 2022 as Director of Operations. He carries the weighty responsibility of ensuring all of our services are up and running 24/7; he looks ahead to road-map our plans while also supporting the team to deliver the best service and value to our clients.

Away from the computer, Martin is an avid photographer – from bumble bees to buildings, he has a keen eye for the perfect shot and nothing helps him escape more than spending time outside in our wonderful countryside looking for that perfect picture.

Sandy started back in 2009 – supporting the new business and developing the financial module of VetIT. Since then, her role has grown to Business Analyst which means working with our clients to establish their requirements, working with the software team to support those requirements and then balancing this with the realities of a business structure and resourcing the job accordingly.

Sandy enjoys rolling her sleeves up with the clients – truly understanding their needs and then watching how the software evolves. She’s an advocate for innovation and supports our inhouse expertise to continually question and improve our products. When she’s not rolling her VetIT sleeves up, Sandy can be found behind the wheel of her motorhome or on the mountain bike heading for the hills!

Michael joined VetIT in June 2024 and has quickly settled in. As he reviews the current system and identifies areas for improvement, Michael is driven by passion for finding innovative solutions that meet customer requirements and simplify their lives. He works closely with our software team to implement changes that enhance the customer experience and support animal care.

Michael loves being part of VetIT’s supportive culture with big ambitions, where he can grow and develop by tackling the scale and complexity of the system. He is eager to take on more individual responsibility, contribute to meaningful projects, and develop a deeper understanding of the veterinary industry.

Outside of work, Michael enjoys watching rugby and going for long walks in the countryside.

Trudy has clocked up almost 5 years with us. As part of the implementation team, she is passionate about improving that process for our clients. Trudy’s knowledge of our software and her focus on customer service are a perfect combination when welcoming new clients and supporting them through the onboarding journey.

She also has the added bonus of getting to talk about animals in her day job. When Trudy is not working, you can find her on the beach with her dog Jessie, or at home with family cooking or reading.

One of our newest recruits, Jess joined VetIT in April this year. Before joining our family, she was a Practice Manager for an equine ambulatory practice in Wiltshire so understands more than most, the importance of a smooth running practice management solution. Having left behind the busy practice life, Jess now focuses on making that practice life easier for our clients. Through providing guidance, training and general support, she works closely with practices who’ve chosen to move from another solution to our own, and she also supports new start up practices in the exciting new venture.

When she’s not helping our clients, you can find Jess getting to grips with her new hobby – cold water swimming (brave woman!) or exploring the countryside with horse Izzy and dog Harley.

Another of our ‘day oners’, Darren has clocked up an admirable 2 decades with VetIT (he was part of the team who designed and built VetIT version 1). As Development Director, his goal is to keep us at the cutting edge of our field. He works closely with his team to ensure best practice in our software development and to encourage and embrace new technology.

Darren’s passion lies in new technology and coding so it’s very easy to see why he loves his job! Outside of work, Darren loves to ski, play football, travel and cook – but with 2 young children, sometimes it’s just the school run in different weather conditions!

Berki (as he prefers to be known), loves coding. He joined us in 2010 and still loves coding. Berki is responsible for designing and implementing solutions for the business meaning he is involved in everything from our On The Road app, to server management, mobile functionality and also is 3rd line support should it be needed.

With all those years of experience, it’s not surprising that Berki is also one of the ‘go to’ people for our other developers. When Berki isn’t developing code for us – he’s at home, coding.

Our resident musician Prash joined the team in 2021 and focusses on enhancing the VetIT products for customers. His creative development skills also get to run free with exploring and building new features for our products – one of the things he loves most about his job!

Other than software development, Prash’s passion lies in music – a talented pianist but he can also turn his hand to violin, harmonica and steel panning. The whole team are glad he chose VetIT as his career rather than music!

Emma has been with VetIT since day dot (along with 3 other colleagues!) getting close to two decades! Emma likes nothing more than ‘getting stuck into the coding’ which is good news as she is part of the team who keep VetIT at the cutting edge of practice management software.

Analysis, solution development and design are all elements of Emma’s role as Senior Software Engineer. Out of work, you’ll find her camping or cycling or on quieter days, doing crafts with her daughter.

Rory joined us in 2016 as an apprentice and was then promoted to Software Engineer in 2018.

He is able to apply his love of creating solutions while handing customer calls and also – increasingly – getting involved in developing the software for our products. Rory is a keen photographer and enjoys travelling to find the perfect landscape.

Alina joined VetIT in 2024, expanding her role as Head of Marketing and Communications at NationWide Laboratories to oversee marketing for both companies within the NVS Group. She loves being part of a team that makes a difference! In her new position, she is keen to showcase exceptional work our software developers and wider teams do for animal care. With nearly 20 years in B2B marketing, Alina excels at crafting campaigns that get attention and unlock opportunities. Known for her strategic thinking, compassion, and sense of humour, Alina is a valued member of the veterinary community with a deep understanding of the profession.

Outside of work, Alina enjoys reading, walking, and dancing. She faces life with a smile and believes in the power of positivity: “If you smile at the world, the world will smile back at you.”
